Almost a week gone

So here we are a week nearly gone, and seen some incredible sights, and some great fun. Not much reliable internet service, nor cellphone coverage, not such a bad thing! Anyway we are in Westport now, staying at westport holiday park  A great camp, very friendly people. First up we drove from Tauranga down to our friends in Gladstone Sarah and Alex Kyle, who have an amazing property out somewhere close to the middle of nowhere!!  Danielle and Harriette found an amazing playground in Woodville, on the way there. I found an amazing second hand store, could've stayed for hours.
Next Day off to Wellington to catch the Bluebridge Ferry. None of us had ever been on a cook strait ferry, so was very interesting. A tad boring through the middle of the strait, but once into the Queen Charlotte Sound the scenery is magnificent.
First two nights at Smiths Family Farm Park an awesome camp. Greeted with Hot Muffins on arrival. Harriette had her birthday here, and it was a great place to have a birthday. The second evening Harriette and I went for a bush walk to see the glowworms. Very eerie walking out of the bush in the dark, and coming out into an open field where the most amazing star filled sky greeted us.
From here we went to Kaiteriteri, what a difference from Smiths. Going from a camp with around 15 power sites, to one with over 400!! And everyone just as friendly. Beach directly across the road, with Golden sand. I couldve stayed here for the rest of the holiday!!
From there to Murcheson for a night, and now in Westport, and we are going right now to cape foulwind for a look!! Hope it's not to foul!!
Back soon!
